Merritt Ombacher

Merritt Ombacher (d. Dec. 24, 1979) was publisher of the San Francisco Register until December 24, 1979, when he died in his office at the paper in "Home By Another Way", as his son Dennis looked on.

Dan affectionately told Livia that he was "a real old news hound" who was publisher for 40 years.
